DIN 7500 | steel | zinc-plated | Cr(VI) - free | metric thread
Thread forming screws are used for secure direct bolting. There is no need to manufacture a mounting thread. The fastener offers good vibration resistance and high tear-out resistance. The problem-free assembly is achieved by insertion into a pre-fabricated core hole of a solid metal component. The screw is suitable for plastically deformable materials such as steel, die-casting, aluminium, brass or copper. Thanks to its thread geometry, it forms a thread compatible with ISO metric threads in the component without chip formation. This makes it possible to replace a metric screw if necessary.
